In the heart of Athens, Amphibian brings together the spirit of a contemporary restaurant, the philosophy of farm-to-table dining and the unmistakable energy of the city.

Created by Tasos, Alex, Vasilis and a close-knit team united by a passion for exceptional food and genuine hospitality, Amphibian is a culinary project shaped by friendship, experience and a desire to create something distinctly their own.

The team’s garden in Alepochori reflects the same care and attention that defines the restaurant’s kitchen, where ingredients are treated with respect and transformed into dishes that feel both thoughtful and approachable. The result is an evolving à la carte menu that moves confidently between Mediterranean influences and international gastronomy.

Leading the culinary direction is Michelin-awarded Chef Patron Tasos Mantis, whose approach embraces unexpected flavour combinations while maintaining a strong sense of balance and seasonality.

Each dish is designed to encourage curiosity, inviting diners to discover familiar ingredients through a more contemporary lens.

Beyond the dining room, Amphibian extends the experience to its standalone rooftop bar. With unobstructed views towards the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill, the rooftop creates an atmospheric setting for cocktails, wine and relaxed evenings above the city.

A carefully selected wine list complements the cuisine, while signature cocktails have been developed in collaboration with Kosmas Giannoulis and Bespoke Director, adding another layer to the restaurant’s creative identity.

What makes Amphibian particularly compelling is its sense of openness. It is ambitious without feeling formal, contemporary without losing warmth, and deeply connected to its ingredients without becoming restrictive.

It is a place designed for Athens welcoming locals and travellers alike to eat, drink and experience a fresh interpretation of modern Greek dining.

Amphibian is ultimately a celebration of collaboration, creativity and the pleasure of discovering something unexpected with Athens as its backdrop.
