Marianna Lourba was born in 1980 in Athens. She pursued her studies in Art & Design at Middlesex University, London, before completing her postgraduate degree in Visual Communication and Design at the Instituto Europeo di Design (IED), Milan.
Her artistic practice is defined by an abstract visual language, where geometry, materiality, and composition serve as conduits of meaning, forging a dialogue between contemporary expression and tradition.

She has held five solo exhibitions and participated in over twenty group exhibitions worldwide, in cities including Athens, New York, Tokyo, Arezzo, and Orvieto.

Her work has garnered distinctions and awards, among them from the DESTE Foundation and Mont Blanc.

Since 2013, she has been teaching Visual Communication at a private college in Athens.
Lourba’s works are housed in prominent private collections both in Greece and abroad.

She lives and works in Athens.
