1.Your shoe collection is simply unique. When you create your collections, what is your basic inspiration?

This question always stumps me. I actually feel inspired by everything and anything:  music, childhood memories, faraway places that I haven’t been to yet, the sunset, architecture and of course, films. Creativity is also a “distillation” of my feelings.  When I am cheerful, I get very inspired, but when I get the blues I get even more inspired. Designing for me, is proving to myself that beauty can be found even in the darkest of times and it can be comforting, healing and in some cases, life changing.

2. Are you optimistic about the current crisis in Greece? Will we see ''the light in the end of the tunnel'' eventually?

I feel that the current crisis is a new economic reality, which will take a long time to change. Meanwhile, I see a new wave of creativity and a new point of view in the new generation that triumphs in many fields, which makes me feel very optimistic about the future.

3. Future plans or dreams waiting to come true?

I want the women who receive my creations to feel the same spark that I felt when I designed them. I hope the business that started by me and my daughter Beatrice, to grow more and continue producing responsibly with sustainable materials and methods. But most of all, I wish each day to count and have a meaning.

4.What is Greece after all? Is it the sun, the islands, or something more than this ''cliche'' kind of thing?

Greece can be defined a lot by its weather. You come out of your home, look at the clear blue sky, take a coffee and your mood is instantly elevated. There is so much beauty in this country, such diverse landscapes and traditions and such exquisite food… However, Greece is so much more than its tradition, islands and sun. Greece has mostly to do with its people who are passionate, intense, creative and hardworking.

5.How is your everyday agenda and how do you combine your intense business life with your personal life?

In the beginning the line between these two was very thin, but now I have found my balance.

6. Are you the type of character who would swim against the stream or would you rather be on the safe side?

I am definitely the “swim against the stream” kind of person.  In my life, I believed in everything that most people found crazy or risky and by doing so, I moved towards the direction that I thought would make me happier.

7. The secret of being so creative?

Living your life to the fullest, being curious and having an endlessly changing horizon will “feed” your creativity.

8.What is the message you want to send through your creations? Whats your ''stigma'' as a designer?

I feel that the element  of playfulness and surprise is my stigma.

9.Your own advice to a kid that would like to be a fashion designer in Greece?

To learn to work hard, because only though hard work can anyone take a step towards her or his dreams.
