Christos Carameros was born in Athens in 1973. He studied Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art at the Technological Education Institute (T.E.I.) of Athens, Greece. In 2001 he followed a 6 months practical training at the Department of micro-photography and conservation of book archive materials at the Greek Parliament. In his diploma thesis he focused on the conservation problems of wooden substrates and wooden panels of historic pendulum clocks. Since 2002, he has worked in the conservation of Byzantine temples, wall and ceiling paintings, as well as in the conservation and creation of easel paintings. Lately he has been studying the manufacturing technology of the Fayum portraits and he has been painting. He has presented his paintings in national and international group exhibition of paintings.
