Sophia Kokosalaki's career started in the 1999 when she launched her first women's Fall/Winter collection, after graduating from the MA at the Central Saint Martin's school in London. Her first collection received rave reviews and applause from the International fashion press and buyers. 
The creative imprint of Kokosalaki’s aesthetic was immediately discernable: sculptural effects and elaborate details, draping, leather worked as cloth.The invention of fabric manipulating techniques and innovative approach to construction gave her clothes the allure of uniqueness.
Sophia has been recognized and applauded internationally with various rewards and projects,, including the creation of the costumes for the opening ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
